Regeneration Strategy Proposal for An Urban Neighbourhood ’An Urban Village'

A number of Urban Regeneration projects, part of a bid to fund the creation of 7 Urban Villages in the east of London. The project was carried out for London Borough of Tower Hamlets Housing Department within Poplar area.

 

The proposed urban and housing strategies were for the regeneration of poplar area of east London to replace a large portion of derelict sites and existing poor housing.

 

Working with the Tower Hamlets Housing and Building Services Department and in close consultation with the local community the proposal is for low-rise social housing using the traditional English terrace house patterns to offer varying types of living units and gardens both individual and collective.
